The Worldwide Specialist Organization is seeking a Leader for the Insights Product Management team who is technically strong, dynamic, and customer-focused with subject matter expertise in building out scalable analytics and insights capabilities. The role will influence the way we support business mechanisms and cadences from a data perspective and shape strategy through business insights.

You will be leading a team who will be building insights products that will provide proactive, deep insights into metrics as we achieve our goal of building a data driven organization that will have impact on how WWSO makes decisions and investments. Your team will work to understand various persona needs, envision the insight product to support and lead the build and launch of the insight product, continuously improving on adoption and feature capabilities.

The right candidate will be passionate about working with large datasets and be able to integrate data from various back end data sources and dashboards, providing actionable insights to various end user personas.

As a leader in the Specialist Strategy and Operations organization, you will leverage data and analysis to land business insights that develop GTM strategies, and scale the business. Your insights will drive will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to their customers.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves, and work directly with the models/data The ideal candidate will be passionate about the work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He/she/they will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. He/she/they will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their team to other internal teams. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Finance, Sales Operations and Stakeholders (Sales, BD, SA, Field) will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. He/she/they will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Preference for this position to be in one of the following additional locations: Austin, TX, San Jose, CA, Palo Alto, CA, San Francisco, CA, Denver, CO, Seattle, WA, or Arlington, VA.

Key job responsibilities
  • Hire, develop and mentor a team of high-performance team of insight product managers, analysts and BIE.
  • Create, build, and deliver business requirement documents, PR/FAQ, and insight products for the Specialist Organization.
  • Lead the effort to wrap these products in various business management mechanisms to support a deeper understanding of various insights.
  • Incorporate automation to drive efficiencies and scale.
  • Build trusted relationships with Specialist GTM leadership, Sales Strategy and Operations leadership and Finance to deliver reporting solutions and support ad hoc requests worldwide.
  • Project-manage multiple workflows and communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally.
  • Build strong operational processes and support the design, development of data integration, transformation and visualization.

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in Sales Operations, Sales Insights/Analytics, Sales Strategy, Finance, Data Analytics, or other related fields
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial.
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Experience rapidly growing an organization and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
