2022-23 School Year

Salary:

$20.00 per hour

7 hours a day (including a ½ hour unpaid lunch), Monday-Friday, 177 days during the school year

Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:

Reports to the building Principal and through him/her to the Superintendent of Schools

Statement of Duties:

• Support the safe transition of students between classes
• Oversee outdoor areas for student breaks if necessary
• Notify the school Administration of students leaving campus without proper authorization, student behavioral concerns, vehicle violations and suspicious circumstances.
• Notify the School Administration when local public safety officials are on school property.
• Supervise hallways, bathrooms and the school cafeteria or other areas as assigned.
• Enforce the rules and regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook as well as the rules for student behavior as outlined in the Faculty Handbook and any District Protocols and Guidelines.
• Enforce the security procedures established by the district.
• Drive school van to and from student job/intern sites and as assigned during the school day.
• Other duties as assigned by school administration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred, equivalent education/experience considered
• Ability to work in a school environment while following safety protocols and procedures
• Previous experience working in a high school setting with high school students highly preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred
• Ability to obtain a 7D License within the first year of employment (guidance and support to obtain provided)
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
