Job Description:

• 
  Teaches to pupils in a classroom, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities. Class size approximately 16-18 students.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provided individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Established and maintains standard of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
• Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress

Education: Prefer a Bachelor's degree or above in Early Childhood/Child Development OR a Teaching Cert with a ZA/ZS

Experience: Must have prior experience working within Special Education and students with an IEP preferred and prefer experience with Creative Curriculum

Work hours: Start Sept 1, 2023 - May 30, 2024. 9:00a-4:45p Monday-Thursday with some Friday hours depending on training/meetings. Position will be 35-40 average hours per week.

Location: Early Childhood Center at 5535 School Ave, Hudsonville, MI 49426

Pay Rate: Pay $21.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on education/experience.
