Growth Equity Associate, Private Equity Health + Life (Denver, CO)

What it's about
In this position, you will join Partners Group’s Private Equity Directs Health + Life team in Denver, CO with responsibilities across all aspects of VC/Growth investments, including sourcing, due diligence and investment execution, operational value creation and divestitures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Research Healthcare trends and themes to proactively identify and source investment opportunities in the Health + Life sector
- Source and meet with management teams of potential investment opportunities
- Support and selectively lead due diligence workstreams on prospective investments (e.g., financial, commercial, tax, legal due diligence etc.)
- Draft and present investment recommendation documents
- Evaluate and model business plans
- Contribute to the negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation
- Support portfolio companies throughout our investment period (including the planning, execution, and monitoring of value creation initiatives)
- Conduct various other tasks related to the global Health + Life team
We are looking for a professional with the ability and willingness to excel within a highly entrepreneurial organization.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Top academic credentials, with preferred degree in finance, economics, business, entrepreneurship, or healthcare
- 3-5 years of work experience in private equity, growth equity, M&A, strategy consulting, ideally with prior experience in or analysing Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Healthcare Technology/Software companies
- A strong passion for investing, for the VC/growth space and for global Healthcare markets
- Proficiency in excel modelling and in drafting investment proposals
- Superior organizational competence (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)
- Excellent teamwork skills within international settings
- Excellent language skills – proficiency in English a must
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, able to engage and motivate others across all levels of seniority, from business owners and CEOs to junior staff
- A high energy level coupled with a strong desire to learn and succeed, along with an impeccable work ethic and a professional demeanour

- Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance based long term incentives. Base pay range for this role is 165k and a performance-based bonus are part of the total compensation package
