MARC, Inc. is seeking a Group Home Manager to oversee a residence of individuals with developmental disabilities. This position would be responsible for the daily activities including taking care of and overseeing the home, finances, and proper nutrition. In addition, this individual will be responsible for ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, as well as scheduling staff , accompanying our people we serve to medical appointments, reporting health status changes to the nurse and communicating with day service staff. They will develop natural supports and assist individuals with personal growth and reaching their goals. The ideal candidate will have compassion, previous experience assisting adults with special needs, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good judgment.
Full-Time position available; Flexible hours to include nights and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure persons served receive best possible help and care needed to live their best life
Staff development including improving competency through teaching, trainings and assigning corrective action when warranted
Schedule medical and dental appointments, follow-ups and coordinate with House RN
Administer or assign a designee for all in-house training for new staff
Convene and chair quarterly house meetings, write agendas and set clear staff expectations
Ensure all incident reports are completed and filed within 24 hours as required by DDS
Communicate doctors orders, update calendars, staff logs and notify all necessary parties of any medication changes
Review financials and weekly household money daily. Turn in every other week for Financial audit
Help to ensure proper nutrition and dietary needs are met
Complete and review staff chore list and ensure home is clean and safe
Write the house staff schedule, clear shifts on Paycom and ensure coverage of all shifts necessary for house operations
Ensure daily documentation is completed and approved through Medisked
Responsible for daily activities including taking care of and overseeing the home
Write and present reports documenting progress on residents IP goals
Perform monthly residence fire drills and home inspection forms
Transport persons served to and from activities and medical appointments
Maintain reports and help individuals achieve personal growth and reaching their goals
Performs other duties as assigned by the Residential Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Minimum four years of experience in human services
Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS Medication Administration Certification within six months of hire and maintain throughout duration of employment at MARC
Ability to act quickly and remain calm in a crisis
Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability.
PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and driving.
Ability to stand, sit, use a telephone, and type at a computer.
Ability to lift and transfer up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of nonambulatory people.
