This will be a remote position with regular travel to and from customer sites located in Texas & New Mexico.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the resources (i.e. People, office, equipment, and supplies) needed to meet customer contract requirements and minimize overall operating costs of the contract.
• Interface with Contract Officer Representative (COR) and Vendors.
• Supervise and assign duties to Field Chemists or Technicians to complete Task Orders.
• Plan and manage workflow to maximum truckload volumes and efficiently utilize staff.
• Create manifests, labels, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) from a Task Order (TO).
• Route waste to disposal facilities that maximize profitability.
• Ensure proper classification, identification, packaging and labelling of hazardous waste for transportation and disposal.
• Process regulatory paperwork to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures
• Load hazardous waste for transport per DOT requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in Hazardous Waste Transportation and disposal required.
• Five (5) years industry related experience, preferably managing a Federal Hazardous Waste disposal contract.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with less than three (3) moving violations within the last three (3) years.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, word-processing skills and proficiency with MS Excel required.
• Ability to work independently
• Good problem solving abilities, ability to overcome obstacles.
• Ability to negotiate with customer to complete tasks in the most efficient order.
• Ability to meet strict performance deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
