Summary

The Outside Services Attendant will be the first contact to our guests. Must be friendly and willing to be helpful in any way possible to make our guests feel welcome.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Must arrive at work for your shift on time, in uniform, with an outstanding attitude and ready to perform the days tasks.
• Communicate effectively by means of a two-way radio.
• Will work closely with the Golf Shop staff and work as a team.
• The shift will include staging carts, preparing for any special events or tournaments, setting up the driving range, ensuring the golf area property is clean and ready for play, and make sure we are putting out our best product each and every day.
• Will drive the range ball picker. Range balls must be picked up, washed and restocked into the driving range ball dispenser. Additional carts will need to be staged and carts coming in from the golf course will need to be washed, restocked with
• Must use tactful behavior while helping the golfers keep a four hour and 16 minute pace of play.
• Be visible and readily available to help our golfing guests with any pace of play issues they may have and with emergencies on the course. Our pace of play policies will be enforced to ensure all of our golfing guests have the best golfing experience anywhere.
• Will frequently report the status of the pace of play on the course to the golf shop staff, and situations that need attention, and/or emergencies.
• All golf carts must be washed, restocked with pencil, scorecard, seed and sand, coolers are emptied, ensure golf cars are in good working order and properly returned to the cart barn and plugged into the charger.
• Clean and account for all rental clubs.
• Clean cart barn, staging area, driving range, putting and chipping greens.
• Ensure that all golfers are off the golf course. Pick up flagsticks on putting greens, return the radio to the charger, turn lights off and help lock up.
• Put away all equipment used for the day (power washer, ball washer), Make sure carts are properly stored for the evening.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 18 years of age

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three months experience in customer service. Prefer to have someone with some knowledge of golf. Prefer to have someone familiar with the program GolfPro.

Language Skills

Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to interpret documents and reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems and situations reasonably. Must be able to work shifts starting at 5:30 a.m. and work closing shifts ending as late as 9:30 p.m. Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a Valid California driver’s license.

The work is relatively safe, but care must be taken to avoid slips, falls, and burns. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee must regularly lift up to 40 pounds and/or occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a clean atmosphere, but is frequently exposed under temperature extremes, such as wet, hot, cold, warm, and/or humid outside weather conditions and/or indoor conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and/or caustic chemicals. The work environment is fast-paced at times. Ability to work in a team environment and remain calm in stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
