CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As a part of the General Industrial Finance team, this position will manage the financial planning and reporting for the division and partner with our global teams to support ROS initiatives. The position will also support our PSP business, assist in evaluation and integration of acquisitions, and provide analysis and recommendations to support growth. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling and ability to analyze data to support decision making. This position will report to the VP Controller of General Industrial Division and be responsible for direct line management of one analyst.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Support monthly forecasting and annual operating plan process.
  • Load financials for large Key Accounts
  • Works with Regions to meet financial targets set by Finance VP. Setting targets for all Segments.
  • Maintain strong partnership with Marketing, R&D, and Global Account Management team to provide meaningful counsel toward reaching goals.
  • Manages monthly reporting and analysis of business performance globally. Coordinates with IT (liaison with IT for data issues)
  • Support the PSP business and work with the commercial teams to assess new opportunities and setup accounting for new sites. Full business ownership and support to PSP Director
  • Assist in the evaluation of acquisition opportunities and provide financial support for integration. Financial analysis and prep work; develop synergy strategy; Fully support integration including procurement, inventory management, support web-based e-commerce tool, etc. May support Regional M&A activities
  • Provide support to compensation teams for incentive payouts and sales awards. Set targets for segments; provides full year reporting and review
  • Analyze results and present findings and opportunities to leadership as needed. Examples may include Customer service issues; research savings opportunities and make recommendations on pricing.
  • Identify opportunities to drive consistency among regions and lead system enhancement projects. Forecasting; Microstrategy; point person to interpret results for Regions
  • Assist in other projects as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION: (GENERALLY, IF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IS ACCEPTABLE, THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY ONE YEAR OF COLLEGE EDUCATION REQUIRED)

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

Preferred

  • MBA or CPA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 5-7 Years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience
  • Ability to build, analyze and communicate statistical analysis of financial and numeric data
  • Excellent MS office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred:

  • Two or more years of P&L management or ownership
  • Supervising or coaching/training individuals

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and have the confidence to lead and influence cross organizationally
  • Proven ability to build relationships.
  • Experience with Oracle, POS, Microstrategy, AOM, OneStream, etc
  • Strong analytical skillset with advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player who can identify opportunities and work across functional areas to provide solutions and recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
  • May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
