DUTIES:

Concentrate on growing the company’s Health Care Content business (Pharmacogenomics, Cystic Fibrosis, Vaginal Microbiota, Urinary Tract Microbiota & Respiratory Microbiota) as well as expanding new sales into emerging infectious disease markets across a broad range of customer segments.

Serve both as a sales and technical resource for the customers across the territory as well as across a highly matrixed sales organization.

Attain sales quota and develop high level relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s), with the purpose of making these engagements successful as positive references.

Utilize market knowledge of clinical Qpcr business for Infectious Disease, including COVID-19, and Pharmacogenomics.

Develop and manage annual Territory Plan and quarterly business plans to meet or exceed financial goals to be shared across our selling matrix.

Utilize product and application knowledge across our genetic analysis portfolio to successfully apply consultative and strategic selling presentations.

Understand customer goals, priorities and challenges to provide solutions best positioned to address clinical customer needs.

Focus on high growth areas and markets, key applications to drive open array-based projects into new emerging markets.

Consistently and accurately manage sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of Seibel system and other designated IT tools.

Regularly utilize analytics tools and CRM’s to drive territory success and achieve plan.

Assess sales team training needs and provide market feedback and product development input to internal business partners.


REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field of study plus 3 years of sales experience in Life Sciences or similar Field Application Support, or any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field of study plus 5 years of sales experience in Life Sciences or similar Field Application Support, or any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience.

Must have experience or knowledge of:

qPCR technologies and applications;

PCR workflow and qPCR molecular biology tests;

Clinical Diagnostic Sales;

Selling to decision makers and business leaders/owners;

Sales leadership, including driving sales throughout all stages of the sales process;

Managing Sales strategy throughout the sales process and evaluating customer’s business data;

Clinical Markets, including the customer’s industry, business process, critical success factors, and competitive standing; and

Accurately costing projects and speaking to workflow advantages to create ROI with the customers and sales colleagues.

Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel throughout CT and RI. Roving/Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout CT and RI for up to 50% of the time. Can work remotely or telecommute.
