General Laborer-Chemical Operator

Job Summary:

Our chemical manufacturing facility in Valparaiso, IN is seeking general laborers to join and help lead our company to success. The successful candidate will be responsible for general labor, including cleaning, throughout our facility, and/or in one of our specialized areas of production. The general laborer must be able to work in the United States and have a valid driver’s license. This is an entry-level position with a growing company and immediate start dates available for various shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

The general laborer will carry out tasks as requested by management to support chemical production activities.

Job Duties:

• Execute work instructions received from a supervisor in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and facility.
• Support chemical production activities as assigned.
• Record the material amounts received, processed, or shipped.
• Manage housekeeping activities when requested.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all processing to assist with inventory controls.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

Recordkeeping, written communication, verbal communication, quality focus, punctual, dependable. Preferred but NOT required skills include mechanically inclined, forklift, and chemical handling.'
