Are you interested in a full-time position working with the elderly as a personal helper/companion, one that comes with a guaranteed weekly salary but without the heavy lifting and personal care?
Seniors Helping Seniors of Greater Boston & Metrowest is seeking full-time personal helper/companions to work one-on-one with socially isolated seniors in Greater Boston and Metrowest. Services provided are nonmedical in nature and include companionship, transportation, shopping/errands, light housekeeping/household tasks, meal prep, activities, and more. For this full-time position, the personal helper/companion will be placed where business/client needs dictate and are not guaranteed the same clients or locations each week.
Experience is helpful but not required…paid training is provided.
- Compassionate, reliable, and flexible
- Older adult with 45+ years of life experience
- Covid-19 vaccinated (with booster preferred)
- Driver's license and insured auto (our clients are not accessible by public transportation)
- Personal cell phone
- Private email account and ability to send/receive emails
- Conversational English fluency
- Available 5 days per week between the hours of 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and one available day must be a Saturday or Sunday. (If on a given week less than 40 hours are scheduled, the personal helper/companion must be on “standby” to work with a client during their predetermined available days/times)
- Willing to travel to any client in the Seniors Helping Seniors Greater Boston & Metrowest service area
- Guaranteed 40-hour weekly salary based on a starting wage of $19 per hour
