We are looking for an experienced Underground Foreman to join our growing and award winning teamto oversee underground electrical projects located throughout Southern California.

Classification (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Exempt

General Summary of Position: Completes construction projects managing the labor, materials, and production for electrical construction projects. Provide technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting electrical wiring and equipment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, field staff, and sub-contractors. Position may oversee one or more jobs/areas at a time.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervision of all field production activities; Provide assistance to the Superintendent/Project Manager in planning the job, ordering materials and manpower.
  • Supervise a crew to conduct construction activities in an efficient and coordinated manner.
  • Review and monitor labor efficiencies, hours, and ratios. Project the labor needs for the duration of the project.
  • Monitor codes and specifications, installation methods.
  • Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
  • Communicate to project managers/supervisors.
  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
  • Complete Daily Field Production Reports on a daily basis.
  • Ensure company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction experience, working in the capacity of on-site working foreman.
  • Procore literate
  • Trench Safety
  • Electrical Conduit Installation
  • Concrete Forming and Finishing
  • Asphalt Patch Back
  • Operate Heavy Equipment (Mini Ex and Skid Steer)
  • Proven experience as an electrical foreman/construction site leader getting jobs done on time, within budget, and with high-quality work.
  • Knowledgeable in General Building & Civil construction.
  • Experience in services that produce and carry electric power below the surface of the ground.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Manages difficult customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
  • High energy and drive for excellence.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
  • Required to have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.
