Reports directly to Assistant Food Service Manager(s) and F&B Operations Manager
Work Schedule
Flexible, Weekend Availability 4/5 Days a week
General Description
The Zone Supervisor position is an entry level supervisor role where you will be working in tandem with the Operations Team to oversee certain zones within the zoo, which will include up to 5 different food and beverage service locations. You will be learning every aspect of the food and beverage operation in your zone in efforts to get you ready for a larger role within the company in a mentorship capacity. This includes, but not limited to, oversight of monthly inventory, daily prep management and planning, monitoring and controlling labor, providing excellent customer service, managing up to 20 staff members, and maintaining a positive, fun energetic work environment. Zone Supervisor will be engaging in professional development plans with the F&B Supervisors, Assistant Food Service Ops Manager(s) and F&B Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Daily layout- make sure your zone’s staff has shown up and on time.
  • Break sheets – do them every day for your zone, work with ops to fill in gaps to ensure all breaks are taken outside of peak business hours.
  • Order Forms- fill them out daily in tandem with supervisors/ fill in for supervisors while they fill out Order Forms
  • Familiar with intermediate food and beverage knowledge, including sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment (inside and out, including patio cleanliness)
  • Upholds food safety standards by frequent check-ins and coaching.
  • General upkeep of each outlet within designated zone and the space associated with said outlets.
  • Responsible for daily check-ins with outlets, ensuring that information given to them via pre-shift meetings each morning is being communicated to team members across their zone.
  • Ensure every location is using checklists, waste logs, temperature logs daily.
  • Responsible for ensuring break schedules for all team members within assigned zone following peak business hours.
  • Ability to analyze business and cut staff when appropriate.
  • Maintains consistency with all products and serves products of the highest quality.
  • Understands the importance of client relations and how our team members actions affect that relationship
  • Mentoring and developing all supervisors in your zone
  • Ability to plan today for tomorrow regarding staffing, prep, and to-do lists.
  • Implements proper merchandising of product.
  • Able to handle guest complaints swiftly and with complete guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to problem solve issues (team member problems, maintenance issues, product shortages, etc.)
  • Constant communication with the Operations Team concerning their designated zone (maintenance issues, team member progress/problems, stocking issues)
  • Troubleshoot POS/IT issues within your zone.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate food and beverage operations in their zone and compile action plans to improve service and guest experience
  • Work in tandem with the operations team daily to facilitate professional growth.
  • Be a champion for company policies and procedures for the staff.
  • Communicate well via written forms of communication and verbally, as well as the ability to follow up on said matters.
  • Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
  • 1-2 years food and beverage supervisor experience
  • Superior time management skills
  • Ability to delegate and multi-task
  • Be able to stand and walk for 8-10 hour shifts
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pay attention to fine detail
