Jones & Terwilliger Galleries in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea is looking for an outgoing, self-driven, detail oriented Full-Time Fine Art Salesperson to add to our team. This is an opportunity to step into a career in the business of Fine Art.

Must have good people skills to build rapport and qualify guests who walk through the door. Must understand the process of a sale, have excellent communication skills and be a good closer, to achieve sales goals.

A successful candidate should have 3+ years in luxury sales. An Art Consultant assists clients in acquiring new artwork the gallery has to offer. We work closely with our clients, assisting them with selections of original artwork for their homes. An Art Consultant is expected to establish and maintain relationships with clients through sales of paintings and sculpture in the gallery, also cultivating sales with those clients via emails, texting and phoning. A background in art, interior design is a plus.

Must be able to physically handle the artwork (must have the ability to lift 25 lbs. and be able to lift your arm over your head to reach a picture hook) and drive a van for home-shows, if needed.

We have been in business for 25 years and have a wonderful up-scale clientele. Compensation is guaranteed draw against commission, plus bonuses.

We have a large variety of original Contemporary and traditional artwork by well-known international artists.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• high end sales: 3 years (Preferred)
• luxury sales: 3 years (Preferred)
