The primary role of the Financial Services Representative is to provide superior member service and interact with members by responding to inquiries about products and services. The Financial Services Representative also handles complaints and questions, works the sales/service desk as well as perform teller functions daily. Responsibilities include promoting credit union products and services, recording member interactions and transactions, receiving and/or disbursing of funds, opening accounts, accepting loan applications, processing loan disbursal's and deposits to share, share draft (checking), and other savings accounts. Additionally, the FSR is responsible for processing loan payments and transfers between accounts, and handling disputes from members regarding transactions on their accounts. This position complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Maintenance of confidentiality of current, past, and potential members and their personal and financial information is a must.

Requirements:


• High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have independent Transportation.
  • One-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, Including excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices for providing customer service.
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Must meet the requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act and be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
  • Notary Public or ability to be commissioned as a Notary Public in the State of Maryland.
