Job Title: Financial Controller

Snowie, LLC is looking for a rockstar Financial Controller to help bring our company to the next level by undertaking all aspects of financial management and strategy. Started in 1978, by brothers Carl and Gordon Rupp, Snowie, LLC has changed the shaved ice industry landscape with new and innovative products that have become the industry standard on a global scale. The advent of the pandemic saw sales sky rocket for Snowie with the introduction of the at-home shaved ice machine and we are planning even bigger and better things for our future! We're searching for a wiz of a Financial Controller to help Snowie meet our goals for growth and expansion.

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing and improving our organization's financial performance and directing our accounting operations. Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information. Also responsible for stragetic planning in order to maintain positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Responsible for streamlining our accouting functions and operations, providing financial analysis and reports, generating a company financial dashboard, training staff on business finance issues, promoting regulatory complilance and driving income generation.

We are also looking for someone with creative solutions who can work in tandem with our

Human Resources department to advocate for and budget out a more robust compensation and benefits program.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accoutning and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparations of the budget and financial forecasts and report variences.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements, maintaining accurate company financial dashboard.
  • Coordinating the preparations of regulatory reporting
  • Researching technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • 5+ years of overall combined accouting and finance experience
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements and company financial dashboards
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • QBO experience required; Zoho Books experience a plus
  • Experience with Avalara preferred

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annual salary

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
