GENERAL DISCUSSION OF RESPONSIBILITIES, MISSION AND STRATEGY

This intermediate-level field position is responsible for testing, calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, installation and repair services on a variety of equipment

Specifically, we are looking for a Technician to perform installation and preventative maintenance of Philips patient monitors and Ultrasound equipment. You would be an integral part of servicing essential life saving equipment. We provide tools and paid training. The Covid vaccine will be a condition of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will assist on all installs with Level II and Level III HTIS
  • Will unbox product, Inventory shipments, & basic assembly of product: Be able to take sales order and inventory equipment, and verify order. Break down and organize/label and consolidate order. Remove trash and clean up area.
  • Will set-up & configure Standalone Monitors, stage equipment for programming and clinical training.
  • Will set-up & configuration single department Monitoring systems. Responsible for simple installations independently
  • Will upgrade Standalone Monitoring systems
  • Will install standard mounting resources utilizing either a GCX system or other mount with associated hardware.
  • Will locate and download Philips software online
  • Will install infrastructure into an equipment rack
  • Will label and identify equipment with appropriate tags, i.e. Name on switches, AP’s, APC, the PC’s and all other devices.
  • May request customer acceptance of installations.
  • May install Value Added Services (VAS)-minimal, capable of performing safety analyzer procedures for biomedical devices.
  • Will conduct On-the-Job Training with an experienced Installation Specialist / Advanced Level Trainer with experience of Philips installations.
  • Will attend Philips Basic Installation Training seminar.
  • Will utilize basic tools and network test equipment ill Install cable, fire seal, and use CAT5 tester and punch down tool.
  • Will perform checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment.
  • Will work on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis.
  • Will maintain communications with customer project managers and engineers in resolving problems and/or bringing problems to the customer’s attention.
  • Will work from written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Will train others on operational functions of installed systems Qualifications / Competencies.

POSTION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associate’s degree or minimum of three years related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
3. Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
4. Requires effective oral and written communication skills
5. Computer proficiency: Excel, Word and Power Point.
6. Acute attention to detail.

9. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

11. Must be able to review printed materials
12. Must be able to improvise based on environmental/infrastructure needs
13. Must be able to follow and explain detailed instruction and inspection procedures
14. Must be able to complete detailed documentation

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Extensive periods of sitting at a computer terminal documenting services Extensive periods of standing and walking while performing services.
  • Frequent bending, squatting and stair climbing.
  • Use of both hands without restriction and manipulate small hand tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 125 pounds without assistance.
  • Some regional day and overnight travel may be required.
