Field Service Electrical Technician

We are a fast-growing dynamic electrical infrastructure management company that sells power conditioning products and electrical services to end users in a variety of industries.

We are looking to hire a Field Service Technician for our growing service division in the New York Metro Area.

Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service experience Technician job duties includes:

• Understanding of Electrical distribution systems
• Additional electrical testing experience such as circuit tracing or Thermography is beneficial
• Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by the company in various field locations
• Performing routine maintenance or technology equipment
• Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues
• Documenting installation and repairs
• Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls.
• Communication with customers about how to use the equipment and if problems arise
• Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment

Qualifications:

• Written and verbal communication skills to understand issues customers must explain technical information to customers in clear terms.
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment
• Time-management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule
• Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports about the repairs
• Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field
• Computer and technical skills to understand the equipment fully
• Flexibility with schedule with last minute changes at SDM Metro or with the customers

Requirements:

• Considering new applicants to develop within the company.
• Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
• Live Within 50 Miles of New York City
• Ability to Work Independently
• Resourceful and Proactive
• Personable & Courteous
• Willing to Work Overtime
• Previous military experience and training is a plus.
• Local travel is required.

• Base salary and incentive pay will be based on candidate’s abilities and experience. (Range 60K & above)
