Storm Search is supporting an immediate Direct Hire opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic for a growing, and well-known company in Oxnard, CA.

Basic Details

• Shift/Hours: 1st Shift 6am-2:40pm
• Pay range $21-33/hr

Job Duties:

· Understands/adheres to safety requirements within the department and company.

· Drives equipment/ vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and street vehicles.

· Assist other level 2 mechanics with plumbing, electrical, and framing.

· Using basic hand tools.

· Assisting contractors and vendors when needed.

· Assists with managing the preventive maintenance on facility related equipment, i.e., forklifts, a/c units, and compressors.

· Developing procedures for repairs and training aids for level 1 Techs.

· All employees are tofollow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.

· Understanding that high value items require proper care and protection.

· Maintain company forklift certification.

Qualifications:

· Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting facility related equipment.

· Expert in all phases of facility repairs in, construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.

· 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education
and experience.

· Good math skills

· Physical ability to successfully complete all tasks.

· Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment
including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.

· Understanding that you will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts,
outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is
occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or
caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work
environment is usually loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour
