    Primary Purpose:
    Build capacity of district faculty and staff in the area of technology infusion through the development and facilitation of professional learning experiences, coaching, and customized support to campuses and departments. Support the Director of Educational Technology with the incorporation of digital learning strategies and structures into teaching and learning through effective leadership, instruction and management of digital tools and resources.

    Qualifications/Skills:
    Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's Degree in related field, preferred.
    • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position.
    • Online Teaching Certification preferred.
    • ESL Certification preferred.
    • Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.
    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Demonstrated evidence of strong organizational, communication, leadership, interpersonal, and time management skills in traditional and virtual environments.
    • Demonstrated evidence of the ability to apply a variety of digital tools and resources in educational settings to positively impact teaching and learning.
    • Demonstrated evidence of the ability to create and deliver effective and differentiated professional learning opportunities in a variety of settings and mediums.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral and written), interpret policies and procedures, reason, read, understand verbal instructions, analyze, differentiate, coordinate, compile, instruct and maintain emotional control under stress.
    • Ability to effectively lead and manage projects; responsible for the quality and timeliness of work and reporting, set deadlines and complete work on time without additional prompting from supervisor.
    • Ability to utilize digital audio, video and editing equipment fluently.
    • Knowledge of and experience with principles of andragogy and change management.
    • Knowledge of STEM/STEAM, coding and robotics is a plus.
    Experience:
    • Minimum of five (5) years classroom teaching experience preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience of an instructional technology specialist preferred.
    • Experience as a presenter, trainer, and/or leader of professional learning required.
    • Experience coaching teachers and staff through the implementation of a variety of digital tools and resources required.
    • Familiarity with creative and design applications, including video creation and editing, and social media resources.
    • Varied grade level experience preferred.

    Major Duties and
    Responsibilities:
    Program Management:
    • Collaborate with district level departments and campus leaders in planning and implementation of effective digital learning strategies.
    • Facilitate integration and blending of K-8 Technology Applications TEKS into the core curriculum.
    • Provide professional learning opportunities, coaching and support to instructional specialists, librarians, teachers, and staff at assigned portfolio of campuses and departments.
    • Develop, monitor, and evaluate SMART goals to analyze impact of educational technology implementation across the district.
    • Manage, design, and facilitate quality professional learning, training and coaching to current and future Educational Technology cohort participants.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the district’s Learning Management System (LMS) and all district-wide digital resources sponsored by the Educational Technology department.
    • Maintain Educational Technology department webpage.
    • Evaluate digital resource privacy policies for compliance with COPPA and FERPA as part of the Software Approval and RFP process.
    • Model, communicate, and support data privacy policies and expectations for all learners.
    • Advocate for, promote, and model Digital Citizenship across the curriculum for teachers and students.
    • Perform all duties with honesty and integrity.
    District Program Support:
    • Assist with and support the planning, development, and facilitation of all Educational Technology Professional Development offerings.
    • Collaborate with Curriculum Content Teams on vetting of technology resources, development of curriculum, and creation of interactive student-facing content within the Learning Management System.
    • Collaborate with Curriculum Content Teams on the development and facilitation of technology-integrated professional learning and training for events such as District Staff Development Days, New Employee Orientation, and ongoing content specific professional development.
    • Participate in and support district and department pilot programs.
    Communication:
    • Foster collegiality and team-building among appropriate district and campus based staff.
    • Maintain regular and appropriate communication (oral and written) with administrators and instructional staff at assigned portfolio of campuses and departments.
    • Communicate effectively with a customer-focused approach with all staff and stakeholders (campus level staff, district-level staff, the community, parents and/or students).
    • Actively seek and utilize evaluative feedback with appropriate administrative staff, and immediate supervisor regarding job performance.
    • Demonstrate highly effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
    • Project a positive image to the community.
    Professional Development and Training:
    • Serve as lead trainer for the district learning management system (LMS).
    • Organize and maintain department professional development records.
    • Provide software training and support.
    • Support and provide training on blended and digital classroom environments.
    • Develop and maintain Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) staying abreast of current trends in educational technology.
    • Meet regularly with the district Educational Technology team for ongoing support and training, to evaluate new and emerging technologies, acquire ongoing professional updates and build expertise as needed.
    • Participate in all professional learning experiences offered by the Educational Technology department.
    • Participate in appropriate conferences and staff development sessions for improved job performance.
    • Maintain active involvement in local, state and national professional organizations.

    • Maintain appropriate level of technology competence to meet current and future needs of Spring Branch ISD.
