Responsibilities
This opportunity is either Full-time or Per Diem. The full time position is 40 hours per week, 8am – 4:30pm. The days of work will be either Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday. The per diem position requires weekend availability.
This position is eligible for our $2,000 sign on bonus!
Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
The Activity Therapist is an important member of the Fuller Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Fuller Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities
- Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
- Facilitate 3-4 groups per day
- Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in related field OR Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or expressive therapy (Art, Music, or Dance/Movement) or OTR/L.
- One of the following certifications: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), or other Certified Expressive Therapist modality
- Candidates without a license will be considered if combined with strong group therapy experience
- Prior mental health experience preferred
