The Executive Director of Corporate Communications will develop communication strategies, craft cohesive communications plans, and apply appropriate key analytics. The Executive Director will be responsible for spearheading the development of the org’s communication strategy and campaigns to elevate the KPTI brand both internally and externally. Key functions will include executive communications, public relations, social media, corporate social responsibility, internal communications and working closely across the organization to ensure proper attention for the organization in the marketplace.

  Develop and lead our corporate communications strategy, ensuring it is aligned with company leadership and overall business strategy
• Lead a small but dynamic team to deliver on the company's objectives
• Leverage cross-functional resources to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the goals, opportunities and challenges ahead
• Develops and manages a corporate communications strategy to build visibility for and awareness of the Company with all key internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate and coordinate with other functional areas to develop a brand, position, and messaging that authentically promotes the Company
• Drives implementation of communications strategy across all media platforms (web, print, social media, etc.)
• Tracks, measures, and analyzes the impact of communications program on the Company
• Elevate and refine our communications and thought leadership efforts to further establish our position in the industry and increase brand awareness to create strategic influence in the market

• Bachelors/Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant work experience with proven experience in driving results for public companies with business and consumer audiences through comprehensive and strategic communications
• Deep experience in publicly traded biopharma companies with an in depth understanding of the Research & Development functions and early to late stage study lifecycles.
• Excellent ability to develop relationships and a proven ability to interact with individuals at all levels and in all environments
• Proven success working within a fast paced, dynamic work environment which requires the collaboration of multiple groups
• Grace under fire: Performs well under pressure and consistently meets deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex business ideas, strategies and results at the senior executive level
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of core business and financial metrics; good knowledge of current affairs
• Strategic, critical and creative thinking skills; Sound judgment and impeccable discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

• In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $175K to $300K per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
