Position Summary:*
The Event Captain partners directly with the event Salesperson to ensure seamless event execution. While the Salesperson is the direct contact with the client, the Event Captain manages the event team (Servers/Bartenders/Coat Check/Pantry, etc) from set up, through guest experiences, till break down and load out. The Event Captain is responsible for staff sign in/out, and staff breaks. S/he issues hardcopy handouts which drive workflow efficiencies (creates the event Steps of Service with Staff Assignments, provides floorplans, and buffet/station diagrams for Cocktail Hour space(s), Dining room space(s), Dessert Reception space(s), as well as our BOH areas, and VIP & vendor BOH areas which require F&B.
