Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Director and Epic Training Manager of Organizational Development, the Epic Trainer I follows established policies, procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice to align education goals with business needs and identified strategies of Tampa General Hospital. Delivers training, supports Epic users, and facilitates organizational change. Specific responsibilities include conducting of training, communication of training programs, supporting Epic users during all phases of learning & Epic activities, and coordination of the training environments. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or professional certification (e.g. RN, LPN, RT, etc..) with 1 or more years’ experience providing (in)formal training required, 2 or more years’ experience working in a healthcare environment related to the primary Epic application required, and 3 or more years’ experience & expertise using Microsoft Office products required.
- Ability to work in an adaptable, fast-paced, and results-driven setting; Ability to learn quickly, thoroughly, and in detail; Ability to be team-focused and self-motivated; and Ability to creatively meet needs of the end user & TGH.
- Credentialing in primary Epic HIM/PB application and knowledge of adult learning theories and basics of instructional design and strongly preferred.
- 1 year of experience in HIM or Professional Billing experience strongly preferred
