The Engineering Technician will be responsible for the hands-on execution of engineering trials, manufacturing setups, process development and setup, operator training, troubleshooting, and process documentation.
This person works closely with engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, and department managers to implement the strategic goals of the company.

Job Duties

• Apply working knowledge of production processes and equipment to optimize and continuously improve their output
• Complete engineering trial runs, job setup, data collection, and data organization
• Measure and precisely evaluate products and processes according to test instructions.
• Complete assembly of card bodies for engineering trials/samplings.
• Narrow production problems down to root cause and effectively eliminate them at their source.
• Supports the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, materials, equipment by determining key variables to measured and controlled, communicating and training team members and evaluating results until process meets targets consistently.
• Collection and analysis of defect samples.
• Contribute content to manufacturing process instructions, control plans, PFMEA, test plans, etc.
• Helps to provide process documentation, operating instructions, and overall hand-off actions to key stakeholders for new or revised process, or production new equipment
• Interpretation of engineering specifications, drawings, and diagrams.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

• Able to use various measuring devices precisely and consistently.
• Ability to work safely around industrial machinery
• Must be able to work assigned overtime as needed
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma with relevenat industry experience or 2 year degree in any engineering or manufacturing discipline
• Must be a quality and efficiency minded individual
• Strong aptitude in logical problem solving
• Ability to efficiently execute engineering tests without distraction
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and the relationship between engineering and manufacturing quality
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to read and understand Blueprints or Technical Drawings, ISO and Industry associated standards and test instructions
• Experience with metrology equipment and practices preferred
• Self-confident, detail oriented, and able to work at times with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent eye for detail
