Electronics Assembler (Middlesex, NJ)

Hamamatsu, one of the world’s largest suppliers of advanced light detectors and detector systems for industrial, scientific, and commercial applications, has an immediate opening for an Assembler (Temp) in the Middlesex, NJ area. Responsibilities include:

• Assembles electronic assemblies. This also includes pre-assembly, final assembly, soldering skills, potting & assisting the engineering department as needed.
• Bench test, diagnose and troubleshoot the printed circuit boards down to the components level.
• Perform various processes in pre-assembly. This would include prepping housings, soldering and prepping tubes, placing oscillators in housing and at times soldering components to pc boards. Adherence to IPC-610 standards.
• Various final and pre-fabrication assembly processes, stripping wires, prepping cans, soldering wires to socket boards, potting, adding connectors and boxing.
• Collaborating with the engineering department to produce prototypes for the customer. This requires attention to detail in soldering parts on the PC boards for the prototypes. The assembler needs to work independently on a prototype project, follow instructions provided by the engineering department for placement of parts and meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out instructions, written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and product specifications.
• Ability to understand basic measurements.
• Knowledge SMT components soldering skills is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic PC skills
• IPC-610 Soldering Standards
• ESD Training
