Electronic Technician III

KBR’s Defense Systems Engineering Business Unit (DSE BU) provides full spectrum engineering and technical solutions across the life cycle of DoD military systems on land, at sea, in the air and in space. Position is contingent on Contract Award.

KBR is seeking experienced electronics technician to support a US Government customer in the greater Washington DC area.

Job Summary: Possess experience installing and/or maintaining access control systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, mass notification systems, physical security information systems, networking, and IT infrastructure. This is an SCA position.

Experience with the following systems is not required but preferred:

Identiv PACS

Monitor Dynamics (MDI)

Cognyte (Verint)

EMC Isilon

Proximex Surveillant

CNL

Stentofon.

Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity

Windows Servers

Cisco Switches

Fiber communication equipment

Education: High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.

Experience: Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Clearance: This position requires a Top-Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access (TS/SCI).
