Job Summary:

The EHR Support Analyst will apply knowledge of informatics to assist in the design, development, and ongoing modification of computerized health care systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with departments to optimize workflows through system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and onboarding.
  • Trains employees on systems and best practices.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and a liaison to IT for assigned areas; provides daily support to EHR application users and maintains member managed system setup via ticket maintenance and resolution.
  • Follows through to ensure final resolution of problems, recommending longer-term solutions when appropriate and communicating back to the individual reporting the problem.
  • Translates identified gaps into documented tickets and works with vendor IT on resolution.
  • Facilitates the two-way flow of communication for establishing and maintaining understanding between Information Technology (IT) and NOAH departments.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures for area(s) of responsibility.
  • Applies experiential and informatics knowledge (technical and process) to help deploy new system implementations and/or functionalities, as well as evaluate and optimize system utilization and workflows in alignment with the organizations mission and vision.
  • Works to ensure that health information systems enhance quality, patient safety, efficiency, and supports population health in addition to patient engagement.
  • Designs, develops, selects, tests, implements, and evaluates new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms to support patients, health care professionals, and their information management and human-computer and human-technology interactions in health care contexts.
  • Develops or implements policies or practices to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, or security of patient information.
  • Documents current processes to establish a baseline for developmental improvements of future workflows.
  • Analyzes, recommends and assists with implementing new and improved moderately complex processes and workflows related to the clinical and non-clinical Health Information Systems interfaced applications.
  • Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MUST RESIDE WITHIN THE STATE OF ARIZONA.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • General knowledge of the healthcare industry, computer science, informatics, and patient care.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate or higher degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working in healthcare industry utilizing clinical information systems including electronic health records in an ambulatory and/or operational setting required.
  • 3+ years of experience with information systems, clinical software, EHR (Epic) and other computer applications required.
  • 3+ years of healthcare industry experience preferred.
