Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of progressive professional social services experience.
- Registered dietitian.
- Knowledge of nutrition-related federal and state laws.
- Knowledge of community health and proper nutrition for expectant parents, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.
- Knowledge of and ability to keep current in the fields of early childhood development, health, and nutrition.
- Ability to plan and organize a program workload.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people including many from outside the school division.
- Knowledge of documentation procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Experience providing health and/or nutrition services to children, birth to age 5.
