Job Description

The E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the Project Quality Plan, in conjunction with Project Execution Plan, is developed and implemented. This role will promote Quality awareness throughout the Project, emphasizing excellence while maintaining Continuous

Essential Requirements

· Review and understand various customers’ standards, procedures, and inspection requirements.

· Executes specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.

· Checks cable installation and cable identification.

· Builds, maintains, and submits System Turnover Packages to the Client

· Updates as-built drawings.

· Performs punch-list operations.

· Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator batteries, socket outlets and lighting systems.

· Performs visual inspections and dimensional checks.

· Performs tests of continuity and insulation resistance.

· Checks installation of instruments.

· Verify special processes and relevant workers’ qualifications.

· Witness and document tests and inspections performed.

· Check conformance of work with the Project Quality Control Plan.

· Ensure the correct implementation of Inspection Test Plans.

· Issues Quality Records and assembles documentation for Non-Conformance reporting to QC Supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production as it relates to the E&I.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience:

• 10 years minimum onshore construction experience related to the E&I discipline
• 5 years minimum experience as a Field E&I QC Inspector
• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. A college degree in a related field is preferred.
• Evidence of training and certification in the E&I sector.
• Previous experience in high voltage installation including switchgear and variable frequency drives.
• Previous construction experience within the oil and gas industry.
