Part Time Driver Job Description.

GCG Group St Thomas is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 locations across the Caribbean, Central and Latin America. We are seeking a detail orientated, highly motivated and talented Part Time Driver supporting our Ground Handling/Catering operations in Saint Thomas, USVI.

Major Responsibilties

• 
  To deliver meals and other supplies to aircraft,
• Unload onto aircraft in a timely and safe manner, while offering courteous service to customer airlines with primary responsibility for transportation.
• To ensure food and equipment are packed in trolleys and stored according to specification
• To use loading diagrams to ensure that each piece of equipment is loaded into the correct position in the aircraft galley
• Temperatures of perishable foods are taken and documented during set up, loading of the catering vehicles and after loading the flight.
• Meals are refrigerated in accordance with food safety guidelines to ensure all food items are kept out of the danger zone from set up to check off.
• To remove used equipment from aircraft and reload clean equipment in a safe and expeditious manner, ensuring that any deviations from agreed standards are reviewed with the crew on board.
• To review the delivery note/cash invoice and quantities delivered with the Flight Attendant.
• To load and offload equipment, dry stores and food from the vehicle, to operate the vehicle to transport to and from the client and to load items at the destination in accordance with the clients specifications and safety requirements.

• To remove equipment from the dispatch chiller and dry ice the contents in order to maintain quality control during transportation and storage to the client and to log on board temperatures.
• To verify that bond items correspond with the relevant documentation observing the required security procedures, including seal verification procedures conducted by security officers.
• To conduct checks of bars, dry stores and equipment before offloading from the client and advise head office and security of any discrepancies.
• Advise the security department on arrival of bars, dry stores and equipment on the compound and ensure that it is secured in the designated area.
• All accidents and malfunctioning vehicles must be reported to relevant supervisors for corrective action to be taken.
• Responsible for relaying invoices and other related documents to the CSR on duty for items being carried to and from the unit.
• Ensures adherence to the rules and regulations of the company and the client in accordance with the guidelines and procedures
• All dirty equipment is separated from clean equipment at all times
• Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Certificates from MAVO/HAVO

Three years experience in a similar position

Knowledge of HACCP

Heavy Duty Divers License an asset.

GCG Personnel are well groomed and in neat and proper uniform

Personnel are able to communicate effectively with customers

Plane is met on arrival
