Summary: The Techmatik Machinery Product Specialist is responsible for Technical Support of Techmatik equipment for the Western Hemisphere, building and managing the sales pipeline of prospective clients for accurate forecasting purposes, and collaborating with Columbia / Techmatik for competitive information and product development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular and timely contact with the sales team and producers, track activities and trends taking place; written report monthly:
  • Make personal visits to key decision-makers to maintain relationships as required
  • Promote Columbia / Techmatik solutions to these key decision-makers
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers
  • Prepares and presents technical sales presentations and plant visits
  • Work closely with engineering to support sales efforts and secure business for Columbia / Techmatik
  • Maintain a high level of product and technical information
  • Regular cooperation with Techmatik in Radom regarding quotes and technical solutions
  • Processing and verification of leads and managing the sales pipeline
  • Prepare sales forecast and strategies for assigned product line
  • Gather information, prepare customer quotes and provide sales presentations
  • Technical advising for customers and coordinating the quoting process

Travel 30-50% to support sales efforts, meet with key customers, Associations, plant visits, etc.

Knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Sugar, M3, query and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to “multi task”.
  • Strong decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player, good listening skills, creative problem solving.
  • Solid negotiating skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5 years of experience with Big Board Plant equipment and operation (technical and sales)
  • Previous experience working in technical sales positions.
  • Knowledge of our Molds and plant operation a plus.
  • Some post-secondary education preferred but will be waived for the right combination of skills and experience.
