Position Summary

PMA seeks a document control administrator to support our Program Management Services at Newark International Airport, Newark, NJ. This person will need excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work professionally as a team player in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. Understanding and a keen interest in the construction industry are essential.

Additional skills for this position include the following:

  • Establish a procedural framework for identifying, collecting, distributing, and filing the controlled documents for the Program.
  • Ensure the information and management control system is implemented in compliance with the Client’s standard.
  • Provide support to the program management team and troubleshoot day-to-day activities within the document control group.
  • Assist in training program personnel to use electronic document management.
  • Track responses to open action correspondence.
  • Assist department manager with administrative tasks with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Attend program and project calls and meetings.

Position Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a construction project required.
  • Must be a self-starter attitude with a proactive, results-oriented focus required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office applications required.
  • The ability to multitask, handle numerous concurrent requests, and demonstrate the teamworking skills required.
  • Relevant work experience in a large-scale program is desirable.
  • Familiar with policies and procedures for construction contract administration desirable.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
