MHP hiring a full time Division Director who will provide support to our Targeted Case Management, Street Outreach and Community Autism Peer Specialist Teams. The Division Director will manage and expand our current programs, analyze outcome data to continuously enhance programs and services, and build and maintain rapports with all internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be someone who had experience managing multiple service lines, knowledge of community resources and systems, and has strong skillsets in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork.

The position is located at 4950 Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131, with a hybrid in-office/work from home schedule, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. As an MHP employee, you will have access to the following benefits:

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Cultivates and maintains working relationships with outside agencies to create and/or strengthen MHP services.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and develops staff in support of MHP operational plans and program policies and procedures.
  • Leads the overall service coordination consistent with MHP & regulatory standards, guidelines and goals; ensures adherence with all regulatory standards if applicable.
  • Attends professional meetings as required; collaborates with internal and external experts to meet program needs.
  • Identifies "best practices" and integrates them into MHP models to continuously develop recovery and/or advocacy supports.
  • Collaborates with the Manager of Grants & Contracts to seek and apply for additional funding opportunities.
  • Develops managers and supervisors in financial, service and workforce management, service documentation and compliance.
  • Develops and monitors division budgets; implements and manages expense and revenue controls.
  • In collaboration with managers and Compliance, monitors and evaluates the quality of services through outcome measures; implements, directs, monitors and evaluates programs to capture recovery processes and outcomes.

WHAT YOU'VE DONE & ENJOY DOING

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • 5 years' experience as senior management in a behavioral health environment that required supervising, directing and/or managing multiple "service lines" with complex reporting structures and funding entities.
  • Knowledge of clinical theory and practice, fee-for-service programming, community resources and systems, financial/social resources, and experience in interviewing, assessment and implementation.
  • Experience managing case management, autism, and/or street outreach is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in program expansion and achieving outcomes.
  • Experience in hiring and maintaining staff required.
  • Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc. using relevant software.
  • Ability to understand and effective manage a program budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to write funding proposals, grant applications and develop reports for multiple audiences.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Strong skillsets in oral and written communication, cultural competence, interpersonal relationships and teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving and organization; must be patient and tactful, with the ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals including participants with mental health conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative work relationships with the public.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a car to use for work on a daily basis. Must have automobile insurance coverage at the state requirement levels and current state registration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sit at a desk with ergonomically appropriate equipment.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and listening. Must be able to talk, listen, retain information and speak clearly and accurately; possible exposure to loud and/or vulgar language and hostile gestures.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for flexible work schedule, including evenings and/or overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the community that may not be handicap accessible: walking and/or drive agency vehicles. Ability to use public transportation, move around inner-city neighborhoods daily, including in inclement weather, carry computer equipment, and ascend/descend stairs carrying computer equipment. Must be able to travel to all sites supported, and MHP's main offices as needed.
  • Remain awake during entire shift, including break times.
