Surveillance is focused on the design, development, integration, test, deployment, and whole life support of Airborne Active Electronically Steered Array (AESA) technology and systems, primarily for industry partners and US Government agencies. Saab Inc. is headquartered in Syracuse, NY with locations in MA, IN, DC and FL. The primary organization for Surveillance is in the Syracuse area; however, this position is being posted as a remote position.

Your Role

This position will lead the development and fielding of advanced Airborne Early Warning (AEW) RF subsystems. You will be an influential leader for a team of radar engineers in the development of antenna, processing, software, and platform integration requirements. In the early development phase in the system lifecycle, systems engineers develop parametric representations, visualizations and data driven analysis to support sensor requirements definition and use case validation.

The successful candidate must possess both broad expertise and knowledge of sensors. At times, the position may require provision of SME support to address technical challenges in the execution of programs. Frequent domestic and international travel can be expected.

Skills and Experience:

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Math or related discipline. Master's/MBA preferred.
• 20+ years of relevant experience
• DoD Program Management and Business Development experience.
• Recent, highly relevant experience in the development of advanced Airborne AESA Systems
• Recent experience working with DoD labs and S&T community.
• Prior experience determining viability/profitability of new products/concept.
• Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Current SECRET clearance and ability to obtain a TS clearance

• Demonstrated ability to develop a comprehensive product strategy spanning the entire product lifecycle (Product Conception through End-of-Life).
• Demonstrated ability to guide the formulation of product definition, product pricing and product launch plans.
• Ability to assess new technology and emerging product/service trends.
• Ability to pursue innovative product strategies and promote new ideas.
• Ability to establish strategic plans and objectives.
• Ability to lead Product development, and strategic science and technology programs.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively present results/content to internal or external customers.
