Telemedicine Psychiatrist (Remote)

Pay range: Salary Negotiable: DOE & Must reside in Texas

We are seeking a “Telemedicine Psychiatrist” to oversee the new Telemedicine Psychiatric Division and its staff members. They will serve as tele-psychiatrist and manager for mental/behavioral health activities. They will provide guidance and supervision in the development of protocols, policies, and procedures pertaining to mental/behavioral health operations. They will also coordinate a consumer-centric approach to mental healthcare and overall mental wellbeing in alignment with the mission, vision, and core values of the broader enterprise.

The Hospital Division implements and operates innovative health care models, including micro-hospitals, specialty hospitals, and hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs) which owns and operates 30+ locations in 13 states: and 20+ on the way.

Scope:

· Subject Matter Expert within the areas of psychiatry and mental health and market growth opportunities including being a subject matter expert for prospects and plan sponsors.

· Represent Nutex Health and supports the Chief Medical Officer, related to behavioral health and mental wellbeing, to the external communities including customers, partners, and provider organizations.

· Define, develop, and guide functions for the Mental Wellbeing organization in collaboration with Member Experience and product leadership.

· Lead, develop, direct, and implement hospital and non-clinical activities that impact mental healthcare quality, cost, and outcomes.

· Ensure compliance with ER & Hospital goals through monitoring care and utilization management performance.

· Responsible for recommending changes and enhancements to current managed care, review guidelines and hospital criteria based on extensive knowledge of mental healthcare delivery systems, utilization methods, reimbursement methods and treatment protocols.

· Leads a virtually integrated staff across all Nutex Health locations.

· Maintains industry connections to further industry thought leadership position.

Requirements and Expertise:

· Doctor of Medicine (M.D.); Board Certification in Psychiatry

· 5+ years’ experience in the mental health leadership and delivery system

· Depth of clinical psychiatry mental health knowledge.

· SME Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addictions, Substance Abuse, Disorders, Behavioral Issues, Suicidal and Homicidal Ideations, Peer Pressure LGBTQIA Issues, and Trauma and PTSD.

· External speaking and involvement within the medical community, including direct engagement with customers, business leaders and industry organizations.

Special Requirements:

The Psychiatrist will need to get licensed in each state we provide psychiatric services in.
