Job Title: Director of Pharmacy Practice (Pharmacist) – Remote OH-FL-AZ – (R-292472)
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $133,000 to $170,000, AIP 25%
Description: The Director of Pharmacy Accreditation, Policy, and Licensure defines, executes and maintains the standards for the practice of CenterWell Pharmacy and HPS. The Director requires an in-depth understanding of Pharmacy operations and how the accreditation, policy and licensure functions interrelate across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, development, and oversight of the Pharmacy Accreditation, Licensing, and Policy teams with approximately 5 direct reports
- Supports regulatory, third party, and accreditation audits including preparation and submission of documentation as needed
- Provide guidance and direction to business leaders on the design and implementation of controls to assure compliance
- Ensure associates are properly licensed to perform their scope of role and responsibilities and pharmacies are properly licensed as required with regulatory agencies
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Develop and execute strategies and business plans
- Serve and participate on Compliance and Quality Governance Committees
- Create and implement processes, through training and communication, directives and programs which positively impact the pharmacies and company performance
- Enforce adhere to corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure effective employee development and providing for capable management succession
- Promote the use of the Quality Improvement Project process and tools
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school with post-graduate experience in direct patient care
- Current, unrestricted pharmacy license
- Ability to participate in federal prescription program
- Broad experience with laws, rules, and regulations for the Practice of Pharmacy
- Experience with pharmacy accreditations such as NABP, URAC, and ACHC
- Demonstrated comprehensive, in-depth knowledge, of regulatory requirements, with ability to interpret standards and implement processes accordingly
- Ability to quickly develop strong professional working relationships internally and externally
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be willing to travel approximately 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA recommended but not required
Additional Information:
- Must reside in OH, FL or AZ
- Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
