The Doctor's Choice Home Health Agency is seeking a Director of Patient Care Services who can take responsibility for the overall direction of home health clinical services in our Riverside home health office. The Director of Patient Care Services will have overall responsibility for the quality, adequacy of services provided and supervision of staff. The perfect candidate will be a great leader who can establish, implement, and evaluate goals and objectives for home health services that meet and promote the standards of quality.

Starting pay: $120,000

***PLEASE YOU MUST HAVE HOME HEALTH DON EXPERIENCE and Must be knowledgeable in Title 22/Condition of Participation and Joint Commission ***

Director of Patient Care Services Responsibilities:

• Provides care as defined within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act.
• Makes the initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the client’s nursing needs.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.
• Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.
• Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.
• Plans and implements in-service and training programs.
• Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities. Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
• Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
• Promotes home health referrals in the health care community.

Director of Patient Care Services Qualifications:

• Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing. Master’s Degree in health care preferred.
• Three years management or supervisory experience within the last 5 years in a home health agency.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
• Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
• Complies and maintains current CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
