POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing all IT-related staff and activities, including the infrastructure of technical operations for the agency. The Director will work towards achieving business goals, minimizing security risks, increasing user satisfaction across the agency, and maintaining all operations and systems while also organizing and directing the day-to-day activities within the department and managing all IT team members. Travel between our two office locations in Waltham and Marlborough will be expected as needed for the role.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong technical and interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. As a Director, you will be responsible for supervising IT-related staff, providing timely feedback on performance, training new staff, and overseeing all technology operations including the maintenance and support of hardware and peripherals, data systems, printing/scanning devices, networking, and audio-visual and communication systems to ensure effective agency operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years' related work experience required.
  • At least 2 years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting staff across multiple office locations including remote work setups preferred.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT solutions and their specifications.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task while maintaining accountability for deadlines and goals.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • A reliable car, current driver's license and safe driving record.
