POSITION TITLE

Director of Facilities

OVERVIEW

The Director of Facilities reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and oversees all of McLaren’s facilities, maintenance, and fleet functions. This position works closely with the COO and Regional Directors in overseeing all renovations, coordinating with outside vendors and property managers/landlords, and making sure that our office spaces are clean, safe, and compliant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with the COO to build annual facilities strategic plan, including office(s) space planning and budget level for capital improvement recommendations.
  • Responsible for developing facilities-related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for security and systems protocols for each office location.
  • Manages the day-to-day department operations with the team, such as printing, reproductions, mail, and deliveries.
  • Coordinates special events and in-house meeting room set-up.
  • Directs and controls maintenance tasks in accordance with company needs and priorities.
  • Responsible for fleet and fleet-related items such as fuel, repairs, and maintenance. Also includes assessing fleet health, procuring new vehicles, and/or retiring old vehicles from the existing fleet.
  • Directs, monitors, and administers all contract services and vendor supplies such as security, cleaning services, and office canteen services. Competitively bid out all required services and projects.
  • Directly oversees all construction and landlord-related improvement projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, technical, or management areas.

  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Working knowledge of building plans, leases, contracts, and related documents.
  • Knowledge of building principles, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with employees, clients, vendors, and various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and independent, detail-oriented, strong work ethic, high integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Travel to regional offices on an as-needed basis.
