Primarily responsible for strategic partnership development and enrollment management through military and veteran outreach. Under the direction of the Associate Vice President, Innovation and Online, this position is primarily responsible for achieving strategic enrollment goals through the establishment and maintenance of relationships with military commands, installations, bases, and programs. Directs and oversees the implementation of engagement and enrollment strategies in support of the University’s Mission and Enrollment plan. Works closely with the assigned University Communications department to ensure enrollment strategies are supported by targeted marketing efforts and across the Innovation & Online enterprise to coordinate partner support. Ensures partnering opportunities directly support the University’s strategic imperative of increasing educational access for underserved and underrepresented student populations.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Five years’ experience in the military or a veteran related service organization.
Demonstrated ability to interact with senior-level leadership across a wide military and veteran marketplace.
Demonstrated ability to effectively cultivate new relationships on behalf of the University with stakeholders of key military and veteran organizations.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field of discipline.
Honorably Discharged Veteran.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to effectively engage a distributed workforce.

Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees the creation of the comprehensive military and veteran engagement/enrollment plan to ensure efforts directly support the University’s Strategic Enrollment plan.
Oversees partnership development and outreach to the military/veteran community serving as the University’s extended “front porch” for identifying and developing credit and noncredit educational opportunities for military and veteran-affiliated organizations.
Represents the University at educational events including those sponsored by military and veteran organizations.
Supervises the Assistant Director for Business and Community Outreach, U. S. Region, to formalize and implement tactical action plans for the development and maintenance of military and governmental partnerships.
Assists in developing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating strategic engagement, outreach, and recruitment activities toward meeting enrollment goals.
Facilitates and assists in prioritizing the obtainment of Visiting School Status (VSS) approvals at military bases and installations.
Ensures continuing efforts to strengthen existing partnerships through deliberate and formal follow-up to apprise partners of the University’s continued commitments, new degree programs, and engagement opportunities.
Monitors and prepares periodic reports for senior leadership regarding progress toward goals, and strategies being employed, to ensure the achievement of established enrollment goals.
Collaborates with the University Communications department as it pertains to marketing support for the military and veteran marketplace.
Utilizes internal systems to track outreach efforts, including regular and personal follow-ups.
As required, conducts presentations on behalf of the University to a variety of small, large, and diverse groups.
Coordinates University representation and participation with the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) and the National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services (NAIMES).
Develops and strengthens relationships with military and veteran alumni to identify partnership opportunities.
Completes special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President, Innovation and Online.
Travel is required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
