How will you contribute to the team?

The Human Resources Director will establish and manage the site human resources organization and provide leadership in the implementation of all activities related to Huma Resources (HR) including but not limited to:

  • Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Continuous co-ordination with

    • Industrial Relations

    • Health & Safety

    • Community

    • Security

    • And as defined by the Project Director

  • Provide overall Leadership and to ensure that Corporate and Project HR standards and procedures are implemented.

  • Manage recruitment, in conjunction with Home Office HR, as defined and required by the approved project MFL.

  • Provide a framework and support and management of a project wide ‘visa and work permit centre’.

  • Establish and manage the site human resources organization and to provide leadership in the implementation of all activities related Human Resources.

  • Coordinate on a regular basis with the Industrial Relations (IR) manager to ensure that HR and IR activities are aligned.

  • Coordinate on a regular basis with the IR manager to ensure that HR and IR activities are aligned

  • Coordinate on a regular basis with the Security manager to ensure that HR and Security activities are aligned.

  • Establish and maintain a climate favourable to the application of ethical and professional practices in the business relations with suppliers and contractors for the construction of the project.

  • Train and assist his direct subordinates in their personal development.

  • Evaluates the performance for each of his direct subordinates and to ensure that they, in turn, do the same for each of their subordinates.

  • Enhance the working relationships amongst the team members, and with the Client team, by carrying out appropriate team building and information sessions during the course of the project.

  • Ensure that HR Team complies with all aspects of the Corporate and Project published and as updated Code of Ethics.

  • Prepare periodic progress and other reports in accordance with the Project Instructions Manual.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with ten years demonstrated experience with HR and payroll processes. Comprehensive knowledge of HR concepts, procedures, and practices. Experience efficiently managing multiple priorities. Without a degree, required fifteen years of experience.

  • Strong attention to detail, high level of accountability, and effective organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and prepare reports. Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically, Excel. Must always maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly. Possess strong customer/client service skills.

  • SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
