SUMMARY

Responsible for transforming, reshaping and innovating BCN into a next generation HMO supporting the identity of Affordable and Convenient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Transform HMO programs/products into Next Generation HMO to lead the market in an advancing competitive environment.

2. Actively participate with, adapt and influence enterprise leadership on maintaining a competitive advantage through proactive strategies based on internal and external environmental business elements that are in a constant flux.

3. Proactively react to the external transformation, innovation and reshaping of the provider landscape to ensure BCN remains the leading HMO in Michigan. Support and develop BCN’s identity including: developing a proactive care model, risk-based contracting, expanding digital capabilities, and developing a coordinated ecosystem.

4. Collaborate with enterprise leaders to understand and contribute to strategies of competitive landscape inclusive of BH/SH merger and other potential mergers ensuring we have a competitive response.

5. Ideate, collaborate with HMO and enterprise leadership to develop innovative programs and products through incubation or collectively with the enterprise.

6. Evaluate and embrace potential disruption to expand digital engagement, care coordination, and Artificial Intelligence.

7. Ideate and innovate payer initiatives that streamline and optimize provider experience and improve patient outcomes.

8. Expand on demand healthcare options and capability inclusive of digital wellness solutions.

9. Work with internal and external data analytics to facilitate and predict/prevent disease in HMO population.

10. Collaborate with BCN Value and Stakeholder leadership and Performance execution teams to ensure BCN systems are turnkey for our membership.

11. Present to internal teams and BCN Boards on strategy and represent the VP of Strategy and Affordability.

12. Influence enterprise leadership based on evidence and potential shifts in the marketplace.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration preferred.

2. Seven (7) years of experience in insurance industry required.
