CLEAResult is looking for an Energy Technician to join our New England team to install energy and water-saving measures in participating homes.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Visit the homes of program participants to implement eligible thermostat, lighting and water-saving upgrades
  • Assess the compatibility of existing heating and cooling equipment with a set of wireless-enabled (Wi-Fi) thermostats
  • Educate customers on the benefits of compatible options then complete the installation of the customer’s chosen controls
  • Register installed products with manufacturers’ hosting systems via wireless connections
  • Assess for and implement eligible LED, aerator, shower head and pipe insulation upgrades
  • Educate customers on the operation of installed measures
  • Verify that upgraded equipment installations meet the requirements of the program
  • Identify opportunities for insulation upgrades
  • Manage inventory

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required
  • Demonstrated experience working in HVAC-related fields preferred
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams helpful
  • Experience working with electricity and electrical metering devices helpful
  • Familiarity with residential weatherization diagnostic and upgrade techniques helpful
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to work with hand tools required
  • Proficiency with basic elements of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds, climb a ladder to access attics and climb a 4 foot ladder to install light bulbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
