JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner insuring we are exceeding the guests’ expectations.

JOB DUTIES

· Know the soups and desserts and items on the buffet when offered.

· Greeting guest promptly when they enter the dining room.

· Take correct food and drink orders.

· To be knowledgeable about the Inn, amenities, and the surrounding area.

· Know complete menu, prices, and dining room hours.

· Know proper serving etiquette.

· Anticipating guests needs.

· Properly complete opening and closing duties.

· Follow sanitation and uniform standards.

· Pre-bussing and bussing of tables.

· Up-selling of items such as appetizers and desserts.

· Input sales in the Point of Sales (POS) system.

· Cash out guests following cash handling procedures.

· Closing out of POS, counting money and completing the shift paperwork with accuracy and in a timely manner

· Follow all laws and policies in regards to alcohol service.

· Check out with floor supervisor prior to departure.

JOB REQUIRMENTS

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to take care of guests’ needs in a professional manner

· Must be able to lift in excess of 30 pounds while twisting and walking

· Above average interpersonal skills

· Possess a Indiana ATC Employee Permit to sell alcohol or the ability to obtain a permit
