Salary:$68,000 - $70,000 / year

The Digital Equity Program Manager will play a key role implementing and operating this new initiative including developing a community of practice across participating organizations, establishing systems to collect and report data, managing device procurement and distribution and creating digital literacy teaching tools.

The Digital Equity Program Manager will also:

  • Implement training program for 15 Technology Navigators using curriculum that Vinfen has co-developed and tested.
  • Create ongoing learning collaborative for the Technology Navigators and Tech Navigator supervisors developing agendas and coordinating with external content experts as needed.
  • Develop system to purchase, manage inventory and distribute digital devices including laptops, tablets, cell phones and hotspots.
  • Ensure data tracking and reporting systems are in place; collect quarterly data from Alliance organizations and report to funder.
  • Implement and oversee project plan that will include eight organizations.
  • Supervise staff as needed.
  • Develop and revise PowerPoint presentations for external audiences.
  • Develop diagrams and tables to communicate data and key points for internal and external audiences.
  • Travel within Massachusetts to Alliance organizations conducting site visits as needed.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.

About the initiative

Today, emerging from the pandemic, we find ourselves in a world where technology access and digital skills are no longer a luxury. In fact, technology access and digital skills are a necessity to maintain social connection, engage in lifelong learning, obtain health care, manage finances, and navigate the community. Digital equity work is crucial to ensuring that people with disabilities are part of an equitable and resilient pandemic recovery as there exists a digital divide that is particularly acute for people with disabilities. Vinfen is launching a new partnership initiative to increase digital inclusion among people with physical, behavioral or intellectual disabilities and people who are homeless. The initiative, called the Human Service Alliance for Digital Equity, will deploy 15 Technology Navigators working in eight behavioral health and human service organizations to teach digital literacy skills, help people obtain a device and enroll in low-cost broadband.

Requirements:
  • Three to five years of experience in health care, human services, training, project management, research or IT preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
  • Must have access to a fully insured, reliable vehicle
  • Knowledge of the human services sector, including programs for people with disabilities and/or people with serious mental illness
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and or people with serious behavioral health conditions is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with a variety of technology products, including smartphones and tablets and experience providing technical support.
  • Ability to think creatively, take initiative, and follow through even in circumstances that are ambiguous
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills: excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be able to successfully pass a multistate CORI, reference check, employment verification, education, and credentialing background check
