Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Parts Coordinator role is focused on comprehensively ensuring supply chain integrity and accuracy through outstanding management of parts supporting a large scale equipment set for the department.

The Parts Coordinator role combines analysis and reporting, along with hands-on application within each of the departments in Supply Chain (Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Planning and Procurement) to ensure excellence in the overall performance of part management operations.

The candidate must excel in interfacing with multiple groups and stakeholders, to effectively support 1000s of equipment assets by expertly managing 1000s of parts.

Specific Job Duties:

Material Management & Reporting

  • Understand and execute all Supply Chain activities such as stock take, physical inventory count, inventory accuracy in allocation and consumption, material demand, purchase order creation and invoicing
  • Evaluate supply chain dynamics on a regular basis to ensure minimum and critical part stocking levels are met
  • Setup and manage inventory and management systems, ensuring optimum accuracy
  • Manage POs and delivery dates
  • Interface with vendors to optimize part acquisition and provide alternatives to optimize delivery and cost
  • Develop and participate in innovation projects to increase value and decrease risk to the team

Operations Management

  • Ensure all material requisition orders, warehouse work orders and transfer warehouse orders are properly fulfilled
  • Support the day-to-day operations of spare parts management
  • Assess and manage inventory levels to ensure continuity of spare parts
  • Manage Shipper / Receiver

Shift: SAS 1st Shift

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain operations and inventory management
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts (min/max, reordering point, etc)
  • Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Purchasing experience is an asset
