Rennes Health & Rehab Center is looking to welcome a Dietary Manager to our team! The Dietary Manager shall be responsible for managing all kitchen personnel and working in cooperation with the Administrator, nursing, and the Dietitian to ensure that each resident receives well-cooked and attractive, nourishing meals and snacks, and that the kitchen and food storage areas are kept sanitary.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Cooks and/or supervises the cooking of meals and snacks for residents.
? Plans, develops, and implements food service for residents within the budget and according to current nutritional principles in order to maintain and improve the nutritional status of each resident.
? Helps conduct dietary in-service training for dietary service personnel.
? Maintains high standards in quality of food procurement, production, and service.
? Uses labor and food in an economical way and provides training to dietary staff.
? Consults with dietitian in the planning of menus.
? Plans a regular and modified menu according to established pattern.
? Maintains a recipe file. Standardizes recipes and supervises their use.
? Delegates duties and responsibilities/assignments to competent individuals.
? Participates in meetings with the Administrator and Director of Nursing in regards to the budgetary process.
