Position Summary:

We are looking for a strong fundraiser to represent Business Impact NW to secure funding and communicate the impact of our work. A successful individual will grasp the full potential of our organization’s reach and effectiveness to grow our portfolio of individual and corporate supporters. The Development Associate will work in the Development Department to secure financial contributions from individuals and corporations. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategic Development Officer, the Development Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day of individual and corporate gifts and sponsorships, as well as ensuring our donors and sponsors increase and sustain financial support and engagement with our organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, Qualify, Cultivate, Solicit, and Steward corporate and individual prospects and contributors
  • Meet annual development fundraising goals in the areas of individual and corporate giving
  • Manage CRM database and data entry related to fundraising results and pipeline in Salesforce
  • Represent Business Impact NW in the community as needed to cultivate and steward contributors
  • Develop and implement tactics to prospect and cultivate new contributors
  • Assist with annual fundraising planning
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications team to engage and steward contributors including development of event sponsorship deliverables, qualitative and quantitative impact reports, collateral, and giving campaigns
  • Establish opportunities for engagement and fulfillment for contributors in coordination with Marketing and Program staff
  • Additional tasks as needed

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM

Qualifications:

  • BA or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in relationship-based fundraising or sales
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska as needed

Location:

  • Must live in WA, OR, or AK
  • Work from home or Tukwila, Beaverton or Anchorage offices
  • Must be able to travel to meet with funders as necessary and be at 2+ events per year in Seattle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
