GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire a full-time Delivery Driver / Shipping Receiving / Parts Representative in our CEDAR RAPIDS IA location. PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

DELIVERY:

• Deliver product to the GATR customer base
• Pick up parts at local vendors as needed
• Transport customers to and from motels, etc. as needed
• Clean and upkeep parts delivery staging area
• Maintain good appearance of delivery vehicles
• Notify Assistant Manager of any vehicle repair needs/concerns

SHIPPING / RECEIVING:

• Maintain a good appearance of the shipping and receiving area
• Check in and Post incoming orders
• Be aware of shortages and overages on incoming orders
• Be aware of part number changes and have the new number created or crossed before posting.
• File all packing slips or invoices in the proper locations
• Notify Assistant manager or Manager of any building repair needs/concerns
• Stock incoming parts in containers and body shop storage areas
• Safe operation of forklift to move product on the various parts of the GATR grounds
• Greet and treat delivery service/trucking personnel courteously

PARTS:

• Ensure outstanding customer service
• Train in related departments prior to the Parts Counter
• Clean and organize parts shelves and storage areas as needed
• Stock incoming parts. Maintain displays.
• Communicate customer requests to management
• Assist Outside Sales staff with applications and sales
• Locate parts
• Order parts from local vendors
• Order parts from major suppliers
• Physical inventory as needed (I.E. cycle counting, spot checking)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier
• Ability to Read and Interpret Documents
• Ability to Document/Communicate effectively
• Willingness to learn and provide backup to other positions within the Parts Department
